"The Adelaide Repertory Theatre needed new theatre stage flats designed and built to replace its existing canvas stage flats.

As a not-for-profit organisation, the search began for a cost-effective solution for building these flats. The Rep was fortunate to find and engage with the Rosefield Community Shed Inc., conveniently based in Wayville, Adelaide.

 

I cannot speak highly enough of this outstanding workshop, equipped with the most amazing array of contemporary woodworking and laser equipment, capable of handling almost any job you can imagine.

 

Apart from the equipment, I was impressed by the whole organisation led by Chair Gerry Ganser and by the over 80 members who regularly work their craft in this Community shed.

 

A special thanks to Jim Hanson and his assistant Gary, who engineered the design and construction of the stage flats. Their expertise and care in producing an excellent finished product to an exceptional standard will help The Rep build better stage sets in the future.

 

For any future special projects, we would certainly use and recommend the Rosefield Community Shed team."
